Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-29
This policy explains how croweo uses cookies and similar technologies. The short version: we set no advertising or tracking cookies by default, our analytics is cookieless, and the only thing stored on your device is a small flag that records your own consent choice.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They are used for logins, preferences, and advertising/tracking.
2. Cookies we use
| Category | What | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Functional consent flag | Records whether you accepted or declined optional cookies | Your browser (localStorage) |
| Cookieless analytics | Plausible -- counts page views and tool events, identifies nobody | Server-side, no cookie |
| Advertising (only with consent) | If ads are enabled on the live site, ad vendors may set cookies only after you click "Accept" | Your browser |
We do not use essential tracking cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or fingerprinting.
3. How your choice is recorded
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies (advertising, if any). Your choice is stored only in your browser's localStorage -- it is not sent to us or to any third party. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser storage; the banner will then reappear.
4. Managing cookies
You can control cookies in your browser settings, block storage per site, or use private browsing. Because our tools are client-side, blocking cookies or storage does not affect whether your images are uploaded -- they never are.
