What is sprite sheet slicer?
A sprite sheet packs many animation frames (or icons) into a single image to reduce load times in games and apps. This tool reverses that: upload a sheet, define the grid or cell size, and extract each frame as its own PNG.
You can slice by columns × rows or by a fixed cell width/height, add margin and spacing, and optionally trim each frame down to its visible content.
How to sprite sheet slicer
- Drop or click to choose a sprite sheet.
- Choose grid (columns × rows) or cell size, and set margin/spacing.
- Optionally enable crop-to-content trimming.
- Download frames individually or as a ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know the grid size?
Count the frames across and down. If frames are evenly spaced, cell-size mode with a margin often works best.
What is crop-to-content?
It trims transparent or uniform background pixels around each frame so the exported sprite has no extra padding.
Is my sprite sheet uploaded?
No. Slicing runs locally in your browser.
